Anti-Burst Birthing Ball

£17.99

This top quality ‘anti-burst’ birth ball can be used during pregnancy, labour and post natally for exercise.

Unless there are medical reasons to avoid it, pregnant women can and should try to exercise moderately for at least 30 minutes a day, 3-4 times a week. Birth Balls are a really useful tool in helping you to achieve this and are also great for relieving any discomfort you may be experiencing during pregnancy.

Using the birth ball throughout pregnancy will keep the deep supportive muscles of the spine in shape and help stimulate postural reflexes. The birth ball has many additional uses in the later stages of pregnancy when sitting can become very uncomfortable and getting up and down from a chair becomes increasingly hard. Sitting on a birth ball, you can roll up off the ball and it's much easier than getting out of a normal chair.

In addition, exercise can help relieve stress and build the stamina needed for labour and delivery. Exercise can also be very helpful in coping with the postpartum period and can help new mothers keep the 'baby blues' at bay, cope with postnatal depression and regain their energy. Following the birth, the ball can be used once more as an exercise ball helping you to regain your figure and get back into shape.
